Tales from the Freeroll Kid

As this is my first blog post, I thought I would start off by giving you some history into my online poker!  I have been playing off and on now, (mainly on though) for about two maybe three years.

Like most other poker nuts, I became absolutely obsessed with the game in a short while, but despite my best efforts I have never become a consistantly winning player.  Dont get me wrong, I have had great months, sometimes winning as much as $10,000 in cash games overall, but the issue has always been that Im not consistent enough and the following month a few bad beats will send me on tilt and then I burn cash so quickly it is eye watering.

Well, about a year ago I took the decision to play purely freeroll tournaments as I couldnt afford to lose any cash on the real money games, but since then Ive had a good few tournament cashes and won probably around $2,500 just in free entry tournaments.  Sure, its a lottery in a lot of the tournaments, but if you keep your head down and play well, you always get through in the end.

Anyway, Im going to keep this blog updated with my tournament results and let you guys know how Im getting on!
