What are poker freerolls? Well, they are essentially MTT’s (Multi Table Tournaments).

The breakdown is this: they start at an alloted time, and everyone that is competing must be registered before the tournament starts. Everyone starts with the same amount of chips and the blinds gradually increase. This forces people to play for larger amounts as the tournament goes on. The tournament is eventually finished when there is only one person left, and they are the overall winner. Other people that finish near the end are also normally awarded prizes. Prizes are generally given to the top 9% or 10% of finishers, so if there are 100 people in the tournament, then the total prize pool is divided between the top 9 or 10 finishers.

Why are they called freerolls? Well, simply because they are totally free to enter! You can win real money and real prizes at any of the poker freerolls that we list on our site, and it doesnt cost you a penny to enter them. Whats even better is you can enter as many as you like, and you are guaranteed to find lots every day, so you dont really need to wait around much either!

So, if you havent played in a freeroll tournament well, now is the time to start! head across to our poker freeroll password forum and you will find plenty of upcoming tournaments to choose from!

Hope to see you at a final table soon!

After taking advice from two lawyers, I have been advised to post a legal disclaimer page, and well, here it is!

Poker Freeroll Passwords is a poker community designed to allow the communication of poker players with each other to share privately (ie. not to the general public/non forum members) information as to upcoming poker freerolls.

The sharing of Poker Freeroll Tournament “password(s)” or “access code(s)” is acceptable on our forum providing that guidelines are adhered to by our members when posting said information. The guidelines consist of:

i) the access code must be hidden from general public by way of the provided [CHARGE] tags, which prevent unauthorised access to the information by non forum members

ii) the password(s) must have been acquired by the poster by legitimate means, ie. being a member of any other forum or club that is promoting the password or by having read the access code(s) in a publicly published area, such as a webpage or other free distribution means.

iii) the password(s) must NOT have been acquired through paid media distribution such as retail magazines or subscription (paid) internet websites. In the event that these passwords are published in a paid environment they are subject to copyright laws and will be removed by the forum admin in a timely manner following any reporting of these posts.

iv) the password(s) must NOT be sourced through illegal means such as hacking, datalogging, keylogging or any other nefarious method of data collection.

v) the password(s) on this forum must NOT be sold, traded for profit or for benefit of any kind.

vi) the webmaster(s) owner(s) and administrator(s) of this site can not be held liable for any damages that arise from the use of these password(s) as they are intended for personal recreational use only.

If you are a freeroll tournament organiser and feel that your rights have been infringed upon by any individual post on our forum, then please use the reporting function to report that post to an admin. We will get back to you straight away usually within 24 hours with confirmation of removal or if we choose not to an explanation why that decision was taken.

If you are a poker site administrator and would like to request that passwords are removed for a given event then please use the reporting function to report that post to an admin. We will get back to you straight away usually within 24 hours with confirmation of removal or if we choose not to an explanation why that decision was taken.

So anyway, thats the legal blurb dealt with. Enjoy the forums and thanks for stopping by!

Over the last few weeks Ive had a huge amount of flack from one party in particular about the existence of this site. I think the main problem that he has with my site is that its:

a) become popular and,
b) is FAR better designed than his site, which just happens to be as coincidence would have it, a poker forum…

Now, I have created this site as I love poker freerolls, and I trawl the internet for passwords (or at least I used to, until this site was built), and I thought it was about time that there was one central place you could get all the freeroll passwords for that day - in a safe, polite and nicely designed environment.

Anyway - this particular webmaster has slandered me, threatened me, contacted my old webhost and accused me of copyright theft, intellectual property theft and more. Had he just asked me in the first place in a decent way to remove any given passwords I would have agreed - I have done so for other webmasters and I continue to do so, only today I got some removal requests and have accepted immediately, as I was ASKED, not THREATENED by the person contacting me.

He then went on to hack the forum, and attempt to hack the forum in its new home. I therefore am absolutely commited to not only keeping this forum going, but to making sure that it grows and grows to become the single biggest freeroll community on the planet.

Thanks then “mate” for focusing my mind and giving me the drive and ambition to build a huge forum.
If you hadnt been so vociferous I never would have bothered.

The morality of Password Sharing

Hey Folks,

I think its about time I published an official line on what I feel are the morality issues behind sharing poker passwords, who this affects and why.

Obviously, sharing poker passwords is one of the fundamental reasons why people come to our (new) forum - but given the special mechanism I have created for the sharing of passwords only internally with forum members, and the credits system, it rewards forum members for their consistency and longevity as a member of our new community.

I am a MOD on a dozen or so other poker forums, including two of the four or five largest by traffic, so I am aware of the other side of the argument where “rival” site owners are upset that their passwords are being shared in this way, but my moral justification for what we accept on our boards is this: Password sharing is going to happen, thats a fact - rather than people sharing them by PMs on forums, or making posts on off topic area’s I am providing a platform for them to share their passwords on.

Im not introducing anything new here, I mean, I had an example about three years ago where a private league I was involved with which had around 30 players, all of a sudden had 200+ registered players. I later found that the password had been posted on an italian forum, and from there it had spread to many other forums. Thats not to say I wasnt upset by the password leaking, but its frankly unavoidable - UNLESS THE FREEROLL OWNER regulates the players themselves.

Some of you will have played in our inaugral forum league match earlier this week - and you will have noticed that only forum members were involved in the freeroll, thats because I REGULATED the distribution of the password effectively, something that other community leaders are able to do, but choose not to.

What about the poker rooms? Surely they should do something to restrict poker freeroll passwords being shared? Well, not likely as the whole point in a poker room giving freerolls away is to attract new members, nothing else, they dont do it through a sense of charity - and using the example above that poker room got several hundred new players, as opposed to several dozen new players. Frankly its not in their interest to restrict passwords as the reverse is beneficial to them.

What passwords have I removed in the past when requested? Well, I have removed quite a few, and Im still treating each request on a case by case basis - the foremost reasons for password removal would be as follows: its a geographically sensitive freeroll, ie, its for players in the Texas area only, or its for players in Sweden only or whatever. Those freerolls are if anything not of interest to the vast majority of our forum members, being an international community. Another reason would be where it is an established league format with few players that form a community on another forum for instance, however where the forum has thousands of zero poster members that only show up for the FR, well, I dont consider that a closed league type deal and its open to sharing as far as Im concerned.

Freerolls that I will never remove from our forums: ones where the password is openly posted anywhere, including on a forum or other affiliate website, ones where a poker room itself is distributing the password days or weeks before the event, or ones where there is a huge turnout already, ie in the high hundreds at least. These freerolls are openly shared amongst our members for the good of the community, and as they would be shared elsewhere anyway, are open to sharing on our forum.

What you can do if there is a password on the forums that you dont want on there? Firstly, send me a PM with a link to the thread, and REQUEST that I take it down and state your reasons why it should be removed, bearing in mind what I have said above regarding what I deem acceptable. DONT post harrasment on the thread or the board in general, you will just get laughed at by our members. DONT send me a threatening message telling me that you will do this, that or the next thing, because its not going to wash with me, and will just result in my leaving the password up, DONT over-react, as I mentioned, its going to happen, and you should be thankful that its on a closed forum, and not posted where the whole world can see!

Anyway - one last thing before I get off my soapbox, and back to coding….. I dont have a moral objection with sharing 90% of passwords. The other 10% I will gladly remove at request of the password owners, but if you dont ask me then you wont know.

cheers

Hey folks,

Im really happy that so many of our members have signed up for the first Poker Freeroll Passwords (PFP) forum poker league - I know that there are loads of other forums out there, (I should know, Im a member on most!) and I know that almost all of them have some kind of private league…. BUT…. ours is the best and I will tell you why:

1) I have written cool league tracking software - I know it doesnt look much now, but soon you will be able to track each persons results through the season, and see where they picked up good results etc.

2) Our members are all real poker enthusiasts, that are interested in poker for fun mainly. OK I know that the money aspect is at the back of everyones minds, but lets face it, this site is dedicated to us freerollers out there, NOT the big shot poker pro’s (or at least those that think they are big shots lol) that fill the other forums. So our league games are a laugh, but with some great poker mixed into it as well.

3) We will reward all our players, and have special awards and custom bounty tournaments to mix things up a bit. Also, Im looking to start a HORSE game in the next season, that will REALLY seperate the men from the boys (and the women from the girls I guess!).

4) The winners of our leagues will get extra special offers such as sponsorship into other tournaments, after all they have proved that they are good players, so why not let them play!

Anyway, if you can think of any other reasons why our tournaments are going to be the best, please “chip” in! (dreadful pun intended).

cheers
